Critical Care Transports
In addition to employing New York State Certified Paramedics, SeniorCare also has a elite group of Critical Care Paramedics. These are paramedics who have undergone additional training offered by the University of Maryland Baltimore County. The Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport Program is designed to prepare paramedics to function as members of a critical care transport team. Critical patients requiring transport between facilities need a different level of care from hospital or emergency field patients. Participants will gain an understanding of the special needs of critical patients during transport, become familiar with the purpose and mechanisms of hospital procedures and equipment, and develop the skills to maintain the stability of hospital equipment and procedures during transport.
Our CCEMT-P’s are available 24/7 to assist with a variety of specialty transports which include, but are not limited to, Intra- Aortic Balloon Pumps, Neonate Transports, Critical Burn Transports, Monitoring critical patients on multiple drips, A- Lines, Chest Tubes, etc.
Our CCEMT-P’s are available to help transport patients from hospitals to airfields or vice versa. We are constantly providing more education and training to our Paramedics to be able to have them always be available to provide the highest standard of care
